National Point of Service
How it works:
If you are enrolled in a Point of Service (POS) plan, you have the choice to receive care from providers in the SummaCare Secure network or any other provider who accepts Medicare.
If you receive care within SummaCare Secure’s service area, you should use contracted providers to receive a higher level of benefits (except in emergency or urgent care situations). If you use providers who are not part of SummaCare Secure’s network, your benefits will be paid at a lower level.

If you receive care outside of SummaCare Secure’s service area, the services will be covered as if you were using a SummaCare Secure provider and your benefits will be paid at the higher level.
